Classes in both locations make full use of a town of Oyster Bay park in walking distance. Each day includes a stem project, games and activities, nature exploration and playground time. Bathing suits are recommended for sprinker/splash pool time on very hot days.

Daily Schedule
9:20-10:00 As campers arrive they participate in a collaborative building project, involving paper, clay, legos and up-cycled materials
10-11:00 Campers begin their independent take home project of the day(campers can choose the daily project or one from previous days they may have missed).
11:00 Snack and bathroom break, sunscreen applied
11:15-12:15 Outdoor time, this may include; rocket launches, nature exploration, playground time, scavenger hunts and cooperative games or time in our splash pool
12:15 Pack up and Clean up time or quiet indoor game
Collaborative Building
Each week we have a different collaborative design project. Ages 5-12 work together to build one aspect of a village. During week 1, we built bridges. One of our older students attempted to make hers a drawbridge while another proceeded to teach us about Humbolt Squid, which he drew beautifully in the water, while others chose to build roads connecting to the bridges and lego cars to travel along them. Collaborative building is entirely camper led with instructor support for materials and ideas. Each child is encouraged to become engaged in one aspect of the process.
June 27th and June 28th Rockets!
We’ll launch several kinds of rockets, including a "Shrocket,” a shark finned rocket and balloon rockets. We’ll also do some Independence Day themed “fireworks.” For our collaborative design we will be building an ocean with a variety of boats and will float our boats in our wading pool and at the TR beach.
Week #2
July 1st-3rd
Red, White and Blue; rainbows of colorful explosions
We’ll revisit our rocketry experiments by adding color to our rockets. We’ll make a rainbow in a bowl a lava lamp with colorful lights and perform experiments about rainbows and color. For our collaborative design we will be painitng a rainbow together and mixing the colors.
Week #3
July 8th-11th Bubbles and Slime
This is our most popular camp week. We’ll mix a variety of slimes; including snowy, puffy and edible slime and experiment with a range of bubble mixtures and wands to make the perfect unpoppable bubble. For our collaborative project we’ll paint as we pop bubbles!
Week#4 July 15th-July 18th
Dinosaurs Roar!
We’ll have so much fun designing and creating our own Jurassic World with volcanic explosions, epic battles and our own adaptive prehistoric creations. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Under the Sea
July 22nd-July 25th
We’ll dive deep this week, build our own boats, undersea terrariums with an underwater volcano as well and make models of undersea fish. We’ll also collaboratively design a mural of undersea life.
July 29th-31st
Space Week
Endeavor to travel with us on our journey thorugh space. Well start from earth and launch a rocket to the ISS where we’ll board the space station and imagine life in space. Then we’ll travel through the planets and beyond to the stars until we finally venture back to earth to make an edible model of the earth.
August 19th-August 22nd
Creative Chemistry
We’ll mix a variety of unsusual concoctions to blow your minds and your taste buds. We’ll make ices, ice cream, homemeade bread, and an edible model of the earth. We’ll blow up balloons with the oxidation process, make a color changing mixture and a host of interesting explosions.
Games Galore
Without the hlep of electronics, we’ll spend the week gaming. From mini-golf to foos ball we’ll design our own games in a box for you to take home and enjoy.
